Alaska Goldpanners
Alaska Goldpanners

One of the top amateur programs in the United States is the Alaska Goldpanners baseball club. 

Alumni includes Barry Bonds and Dave Winfield. 

They are former NBC World Series Champions and they are back to try to avenge their GFI Finals lost from 2017.  We are so thrilled they are back.


Burnaby Bulldogs
Burnaby Bulldogs

Carrying the Canadian flag and hopes again in 2019 is the Burnaby Bulldogs. 

2014 GFI Champions, 2018 Baseball Canada National Champions, and multi-champions of the BC Sr Mens Baseball League. 

The Bulldogs are the defacto home club for this years event and we wish them well in their return!


Everett Merchants
Everett Merchants

The Merchants are led by GFI and NBC World Series Hall of Famer Harold Pyette who is bringing his club to try and win it all after several runner up finishes.

The Merchants are perennial contenders at the NBC World Series where they fell just short as runner up in 2017.


Houston Westchase Express
West Chase Express

Making their third straight appearance is this club from the Lone Star State. 

They bring a tremendous lineup to this year’s event with hopes of improving on their previous finishes where they have been held to the quarter finals. 

Expect them to challenge in the Money Round in 2019.  A fan favourite to be sure.


Northwest Honkers
Northwest Honkers

One of our fan favourites is back again. 

The Northwest Honkers return as one of our longest tenured clubs and they are sure to impress with their hustle, determination, and spunk. 

They are a young and fast club with a penchant for entertainment. 

We welcome them back.  Honk! Honk!


Reno Astros

Managed by Matt Kinopisis, the Astros are back after a 10-year absence. 

They are 2-time former GFI champions and are always a heavy favourite. 

Stocked with former professionals and top collegiate stars, the Astros are a fan favourite. 

Kinopisis will also be inducted into the GFI Hall of Fame in 2019.


Redmond Dudes

This year will be the first visit by this young team from the Pacific International League and we welcome them to Grand Forks.
The Dudes are a relative newcomer to the league but boast a lot of young talent and will be sure to excite fans with their style of play.


San Fransico Seals
San Franscisco Seals

Making their 3rd straight appearance, the Alcantar family brings this iconic club into Grand Forks with hopes of improving on their 2017 performance when they lost in the quarter finals. 

The Seals name is tied to the former minor league club where Joe Dimaggio first played professionally.


Seattle Studs
Seattle Studs

The Cheney Studs have been coming to Grand Forks for over 30 years.
They are 3 time defending champions (5 titles overall).

Manager Barry Aden won his 1000th game all time in the 2017 GFI Championship Game.
Aden is also an inductee in the NBC World Series Hall of Fame in Wichita Kansas where the Studs are also a past champion.


Union de Reyes – Cuba

El Picher, un flai, un fao, el beisbol! Baseball terms in Spanish! And fans attending the 2019 Grand Forks International will hear these and other Spanish baseball words and phrases as a team from Cuba, Union de Reyes, the under 20 Matanzas provincial champions, will display their baseball skills at James Donaldson Park from June 25 to July 1.
